Firstly, I've been told R32 gtr rear sway bars are a good upgrade for a gts-t

how do these compare to the whiteline packages? (i'm only thinking about rear sway bar upgrade for now) the main attraction of gtr rear sway bar's are that they are cheap! and i'm not serious enough about drifting to make full use of adjustability etc. so i'm happy to go for a "half way" compromise.

I've been told a stiffer rear swaybar will increase oversteer (whilst a stiffer front swaybar will increase understeer) is this correct?

I've been reading into it a bit, and i've seen a lot of people overlook sway bars in their drift setup. So i'm just curious how useful swaybard upgrades are for drift (as opposed to track work).

GTR swaybars are hollow, I think, as opposed to the Whiteline solid swaybars. Plus the 'Blade' ones have adjustable settings, so you can adjust it to your preference - see the swaybars thread that was recently posted.

Personally, I'd prefer to have new suspension components on my car rather than second hand ones whose history is not always evident - that's just my opinion though.

I've just ordered a set of Whitelines to replace my standard GTSt ones.

yeah, i've read the thread about adjustable ones.   I'm more interested in how a stock gtr will compare to the whiteline ones on a gts-t...

What do you mean by compare? Size? Weight? Effect? Cost?

GTR bars are hollow, so a size comparison is useless

Obviously being solid the Whiteline bars weigh more, around 8kgs compared to 5 kgs.

Effect, the GTR rear bar is barely an upgrade at all, less than 25%, you would hardly feel it. The Whiteline rear bars come in a number of diameters (20mm, 22mm or 24 mm) plus you can get adjustable (we use 22mm and 24 mm adjustable rear bars). The 24 mm bar on full hard gives a 300% increase in rear anti roll, which is more like it.

As for cost, stabiliser bars are the best bang for buck suspension upgrade you will find.

;) cheers :)

PS; Who told you "R32 gtr rear sway bars are a good upgrade for a gts-t"?

thanks for the reply.

I can't remember who told my gtr rear swaybars are a good upgrade, though I do recall a few people discussing it on nissansilvia.com as an upgrade for S13.

I'll be ordering the whitline ones if they're as good as you say they are!
