Cas On Rb Engines

Are the CASs on RB25s and RB26s interchangebale?

I stuck a RB25 CAS on my RB20DET, so I would guess they are.

Some of them are, some of them aren't.

An early model rb25 (series 1) and an rb20 are definately interchangeable (i have swapped between the 2 with no problem), later rb25's aren't due to the different cam.

There are additional dramas with the part numbers as some that may look identical wont work on a different engine. Something to do with the pick up in the cas

Also the R32/R33 RB26 CAS is different to the R34 RB26 CAS.

Theres quite a few models around, if you need a replacement you could try your luck with a second handie, but id personally get a new one with matching part # from Nissan.
