Hi SK

Just wondering what the springs rates are?

Also are springs in stock at the moment, how long will it take to ship?

Thanks

Greg

Whiteline don't publish their spring rates, they are usually 20% to 25% higher than standard.

Springs are in stock as at today, but they sell everyday, so that changes.

:D cheers :D

Hang on... if Whiteline don't publish the spring rates how were you able to tune up the shockers to match?

unless you had special access to the rates?

Special access......you could say that.

Plus I designed some of the Whiteline spring part numbers myself.

Plus I have a coil spring engineering program that enables me to very accurately work out spring rates.

Plus I have a spring rate tester.

The bottom line is, Whiteline have chosen not to publish the spring rates and I have to respect that.

Hi guys and girls,

Incase you're trying to decide wether to get this group buy, just wanted to let you know that I installed the full kit (incl hicas lock bar) into my car a week ago and could not be happier with it. It has completly transformed the car. It now takes corners and responds to bumps superbly. I also like the look of the 20mm drop in ride hight. In regards to SK, he has been a pleasure to deal with. Very informative and quick to respond. Thanks very much Gary. :)

SK, I'm trying to work out what i need to order (noobie to suspension) I recently noticed my car slightly pulls to the left and on the very very odd occasion sorta pulls to the right, I have only had the car 9 months and the tyres are perfect but still fely i needed F & R wheel alignment to try and find the prob, well the guy i spoke to told me because the car had been lowered (not by me, previous owner) it had affected the camber, (news to me as it only strted happening about a month ago) anyways he told me i would need an adjustable camber kit He pointed to a bolt and said it is non adjustable. previously before this i bought a set of HKS coilovers cause they were a bargin and i already had afeeling my springs were shagged. so i have HKS coilovers to go in but need to sort this problem out. the camber on the LHF is -02.16 and the RHF is -01.47 the LHR is -01.00 and RHR is -01.00 could u please help to sort this out and avise me what to buy in pre for my coilovers and fixing this prob once and for all, any help would be much app, as i am out of my depth here, cheers Damo

Hey SK,

It's been almost 2 years since this GB launched and I've noticed at least one of the prices has changed since. Can we get an update on all the prices and have any parts been superseded? Looking to buy the full kit very soon.

Moreover, how useful is the strut brace? My understanding is that they're better suited to a strut suspension set up (like s15's etc), so are they necessary in a double wishbone suspension configuration?

thanks

The only price change has been the front camber kits, which came down in price. Whiteline (now Redranger) have had a couple of price rises since the Group Buy kits were introduced, but I have been able to keep the Group Buy prices the same. Compare them with the S13/14/15 kits and you can see the differences. If I go back now and ask for a new price list I am sure the prices will reflect those increases. So I have been keeping quiet, but if you want me to ask I can ............

A front stut brace works very well because the upper control arms are bolted to the chassis (strut towers). Since the front strut brace joins the strut towers, it is noticeably effective in reducing the unwanted movement of the inner mounting of the upper control arm.

This is not the case with the rear, as the upper control arms are bolted to the subframe, not the chassis. So adding a strut brace to the chassis doesn't do a lot. Particularly in R33/34's, where the rear stut tops are direclty under the parcel shelf, which in itself acts like a brace.

In S13's and R32's, a rear strut is slightly more effective, as the stut tops are located at the inner wheel arches. Plus they are getting on a bit now and the chassis are not as rigid as they once were.

:( cheers :(
