Hey Guys,

I've got this big problem which troubles me. Just had my front door speakers installed 2 days ago with a new JVC head unit and CD stacker. When I switch on the radio both front speakers work fine and sound quality seems pretty good.. but when i change it on the head unit to CD, the left speaker distorts and crackles.. can't hear clearly but the right speaker seems ok?.. this is very weird as when set back to radio it seems to be fine.. HELP ME PLEASE.....

Oh in case anyone ask, the speakers are 6 1/2" sony 3 ways.

I think the problem might be with the conection between the head unit and stacker. Make sure that all cables are pluged in properly.

If the speakers are fine when the radio is on, then its obviously not a speaker problem.

all left channel speakers (front left and rear left) sound crackles only when played from CD Stacker. The head unit and CD Stracker are both JVC coincide with one another. If I play a CD or listen to the radio through the head unit, sound seems all fine..

This happens only when I run it off the stacker.....

@J-Spec Imports:

so if the cable from the stacker to the headunit are damaged, this problem can occur?

Cheers all..

There are a number of wires inside the stacker cable, including control and power for the stacker as well as left and right audio channels to the head unit - you can easily short out either the left or right channel if this cable gets squashed, it sounds like that is the exact problem ... check it out, look in places like under the seats as this is the most common place to crush a cable.
