stock r33 cluster has a battery warning light, well mine does. left hand side im pretty sure. it comes on when volts are too low or too high. mine came on when the alternator was angry and was overcharging the car. do you have a problem or just wondering if/where the light is?

i found it on the far right-hand side of the cluster, but for some reason it doesnt work? im sure it has never worked too, the bulb is fine & so are the conections on the circuit thing on the back of the cluster, so it must be something between the wire & ...wherever that wire goes? my alternator has been playing up recently, it only charges when it feels like it, im picking up a 2nd hand one from a wrecker next week. i want to try and get the battery light working so i know when there are any problems in future.

thanks

Sambo, I would sort out the light issue mate as it is an integral put of the charging system. The light is their to put power into the rotor before the altenator starts charging and then can self sustain its way of charging.

Have you got a test light? One easy way to check the light and its circuit its to pull the plastic plug off the back of the altenator (with the IGN turned to RUN (or 3)) Earth your test light and probe each pin in the plug If I remember correctly There should be 2 12V supplies and one dull supply, the dull is the light in your cabin - get someone to sit in your car whilst doing this to see if the dash light will come on - LED test light is no good for this method.

Cheers
