Just want to ask a question and I am sure it has been asked before but could not find any info when I did a search.

Can you have a RWD GTR or are they all 4WD?

People talk about RWKW in a GTR but I thought that they were all 4WD.

Is there a switch or do you need an aftermarlet computer to 'trick' it into RWD?

:D Sorry again for my non understanding.

R32 GTR's you can just pull a fuse out and the car will go into RWD and No-ABS mode, my car has missile switch connected to the fuse so i can switch it into rwd/normal whenever i like.

R33 and R34 you have remove something, i think its the front driveshaft, before you can run in RWD mode, otherwise it can damage the car.

the cars are essentially a RWD based car but has sensors that will engage the front wheels up to a maximum of a 50:50 split. It wont last long with 50% front torque.

They can be dynoed in rw or aw as its a matter of pulling out the front shaft.

If you are lucky enough and find an HKS ETC (Electronic Torque Controller) seeing as its been discontinued, you can use it to control the torque split. Grid Dancer does the same thing i believe.

so with a r32 you dont need to worry about removing the driveshaft???

i remember reading that if you don't remove the diff you damage the assembly that transfers torque to the front driveshaft...

also, i would have thought the system would be the same for 32,33,34
