you can, with a scan tool thingy... most workshops should have them, the Nissan models are loaded onto the cards they have for them..

i can't for the life of me remeber the error code, but the code that i'm sure would come up refers to an "ignition" problem. 99% it's your coilpack which is dead, seems to be common for the 34's. I've got at least 1 dead one... how did you know it's ur #2 cylinder?

does the car sounded like a WRX? :D

Engine light is common on bcos of the ignition error code being thrown out and for some reason this renders the traction control "temporarily unavailable" you'll know when you're going around a wet corner :)

So yeah, 99% coilpack. TCS and Slip together means the traction control is offline.

OPTIONS:

- Buy Splitfire coilpacks, expensive

- Buy 1x Nissan coilpack, $100 (new) and hope the others aren't on their way out :D

cheers,

chinny

I know it is number 2 because it is the only cylender that doesnt affect the idle when i remove the coil pack connectors one at a time, i also suspected the coils but for some reason it has done this before dropping one cylender but last time one cut out no engine light or anything came on and after the car cooled it came back but like i said no engine or tcs light were shown,
