i was thinking if i wanted to run a z32 afm could i use the safc to make the ecu think it a standard afm??Cause on the safc in the sensor type menu if u put the input signal from the afm set as 02(z32 ) and the out to 03 (r33) ,then would it convert the z32 afm signal into 03(rb25det) then send that signal to the ecu so it wouldnt even no it had a z32 on it. Am i right or way off?

I think it may just be just a case of getting your car retuned - quickly.

Both AFMs use the same voltage outputs as far as I know - its just that the Z32 is calibrated differently so that it has a broader range.

As soon as you put a Z AFM on, where the car would have received for example a 4.9V signal, it is now probabley only receiving a signal lower than 4V(figures for example only) - therefore without retuning you will be running extremely lean.

Steve

try freshalloy online cos those crazy americans with their sr20's have done stuff like this.

(i think) but yeah i really think it is quite possible.

maybe someone can get in touch with japanese motorsport, i think they say something about a z32 afm for sale can be used with safc or powerfc, pretty sure
