Upgrading Stock Turbo

Hi,

I have a R33 GTST and am looking into upgrading from the stock turbo.

I was hoping some of you techincal minded people wouldnt mind giving me some tips, hints and recommendations on turbos and such.

I want to be running about 20psi.

No modifications have been done on the engine, I currently have a 3" stainless steel mandrel bent from the turbo exhaust system.

Looking to spend around the $5k mark.

any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Be better if you let us know a power figure your searching for, not the amount of boost you want to run.

So you have a bone stock car except for the exhaust?

Have you got: bigger injectors, Fuel Pump, Front mount intercooler and Power FC (or similar)? If no then you'l need them, if yes then HKS turbo's are very good. You can get kits for GT 2530 Kai (approx 220 rwkw) and GT-RS (approx 240 rwkw)

Work on getting a fuel pump, Z32 MAF, FMIC, power fc, and injectors first. Then after that worry about the turbo.
