Hi All,

I'm a new member ( excellent site ) get my R32 GTR in a week. Needs immobiliser for rego, thought id best go for an alarm. BUT. I dont fancy just dropping it off somewhere i dont know and have them joyriding around in it while they fit an alarm. Does anyone have any recommendations ? or mobile fitters who would come to my place ? Any alarms to avoid ??

Cheers.........

I would say any car stereo joint, but like you say, anyone can just go joyriding... would have to think about that...

Yep, my thoughts exactly, so you end up saying I'll wait for it, dont fancy that much either, its not a 5 min job really.

Try Raheem @ Jshop. I trust him, he's helped me out wiith numerous things. Is a ceritified Cyclops alarm installer. (I had him install a cyclops with microwave sensors that are adjustable)

New Address: Unit 5/117 Ewing St in Welshpool 9358 4969

(they might not be open until monday)

Ok, thanks i will give him a ring. What did the alarm cost you ?

as long as you go to a legit place that get a fair bit of business theyre not too likely to go joyriding. Its dodgy little garages that seem a bit crappy that i would look out for. But hey what do i know :)

Hil all, I have had a quote from CRONIC CAR AUDIO :

Remote immobiser for $150 or full alarm fitted for $290 it is an Autowatch 160rli they are government and insurance approved

Seems like a good price, just posted it incase anyone else needs one too....

See Shane @ Alberts Joondalup OR Dave @ Alberts Myaree. They'll look after your car and do a neat and professional install of the Autowatch series of alarms. I'd recommend the Blueline with in-cabin movement sensors, glass/bonnet/door/boot protection, and some bullshit encryption thingo...

;)

Just check your odometer before you drop the car off. I don't think anyone's going to go to the trouble of winding it back just so they can go for a thrash.

I got my alarm done by Raheem. Good price and good job.
