im just about to get a second hand sony md player which has a broken tuner,but its an ES model with 4volt rca and sub out..was woundering if i can hook it up to my existing md recorder via the aux rca input/outputs?

then i could record and use the tuner as a combo...

if the sony unit you are getting has the CD controls on it - yes. you will need the AUX in box to do it.

got a model number of the two?

( that way I can do a bit of googling.)
