anyway, stop hijacking my thread, u bloody tamil tiger!!!

haha...like a tiger...*roooaaaar*

geezes....$600 for piping...that's more than my intercooler alone  (33 GTR FMIC)

I was just thinking mild with hi-temp paint on it for myself :)

the piping came in 3 pieces so it saves time on welding and adjust etc!

If u were to buy 2.5inch pipe get it coated and then mess around with labour of getting the right angles etc it comes close if not more than 600!

pipe from turbo to intercooler intake, pipe from intercooler exit to engine bay, and pipe from that to intake!

then dont forget about all the hose clamps, silicon hoses and rubber fittings!!!

u sure franks is just gonna let u pull off that off just so u can get a copy of it??

I know if some1 asked me to pull my front bar and all clamps, hoses and piping off just to copy my piping, i would b asking what was it in for me!! :)

yup b'cos he has another car to drive for awhile and I'm making a box for my apexi cone filter, so he'll just grab a copy of that off me. :P

hmm what does the box u r making look like now! I had a partition in place when i had the stock cooler and piping and now it is usless since i have heapes more room to play with now!

I need to get a nice funnel up where the stock cooler was with sum piping into the engine bay through the stock cooler holes!!

I haven't made it yet, gonna make some templates from cardboard, then trace it onto the aluminium sheets I got at home, bring to a laser cutting place and get 'em cut out, then welded together and powercoated flat black so it (hopefully) will look stockish and the cone filter will be hidden.

EDIT: this is for a 34...would it be same fit as a 33?

ahhh, looks like the hardwork has already been done?!?!?!

will have a closer look tonight.

i think you will find on the 34 that the radiator overflow is in the way - as it is on the same side as the airbox [LH P/S]. Whereas on the 33 the airbox is near the battery [RH D/S]

that template is if u have the stock cooler and piping, so u gotta modify it abit with fmic. in r33 the battery is in the boot so it aint in the way of the airbox! :)

    • I should video mine, will prob do it tomorrow    Between 1st and 3rd, you could fit another two gears. That is how loose and wobbly it is   horrible:(
    • Throws on the FS5R30A in most Nissans of this era are actually quite short and direct compared to any remotely modern BMW with the S6-53 transmission. Those things have throws a mile long with rubbery vague everything. Synchro issues combined with a short shifter is just going to break everything even faster.
    • Only thing I'd add...is on recommendation from a good diff shop, I've used mineral oil in my diff including the race car for years. The synthetics can be too slippery and glaze the gears
    • 75W90 GL5 is fine. If you aren't sure about the type get one with LSD additive.
    • Because you're effectively rushing the shift and forcing it to go in - with greater leverage against parts that don't _want_ to go together. Short shift = forcing the gear in harder. Also Redline Heavy Shockproof actively says not to use it in anything with Synchros. Well, it says "not recommended" which is basically as far as anyone will ever say in a product statement to "Do not use" Generally the Redline makes the gearbox feel great... until it fails faster. https://www.redlineoil.com/heavy-shockproof
