MarkE
Hi guys, Just wondering how much I should be paying to get some brackets fabricated to suit using the R34 GT-T calipers on my R31 import struts. Everything is removed and ready to go. Several of the larger racing fabricator mobs who shall not be named have sort of scoffed at me a little, and then told me they're too busy and to come back in a month, or quoted some stupidly high number and seem rather uninterested in helping. Perhaps you guys could help. Thanks, Mark Edited September 6, 2005 by MarkE Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86646-fabrication-bracket-to-fit-r34-gt-t-caliper-to/ Share on other sites

INASNT
I am about to get some 324mm GTR DBA slotted rotors and the brackets to fit a gts-t are around $300 for the front pair. What were you quoted MarkE Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86646-fabrication-bracket-to-fit-r34-gt-t-caliper-to/#findComment-1568840 Share on other sites
urbanoperations
They should bolt straight up to the R31 import Struts, if the caliper Mounting for the R34 caliper is 100MM it should fit, i know that R32/Z32 Calipers bolt straight onto the Front HR31 Struts.... Have you tried bolting them on? predator
The problem is not the fit of the caliper, its the fit of the larger discs... What discs do you want to run? Trust33
Can you fit bigger callipers on further on down the track without any major modifycations once the new brackets are made for it. Bigger rotors will reduce the brake fade factor right?? kwazza11
just a suggestion, but why not just sell the 34 calipers and get the brembo's that go with the discs, would be the right offset from the get go. or fit the 310mm rotors from the GTT and be happy. but then theres the price tag on the brembo's.... INASNT
Here are the pics of the brackets you need to fit dba 4000 324mm gtr front rotors to a 4 piston gts-t caliper. Note the caliper will sit 28mm out more towards the rim. ed
INASNT, where did you get those from? How much? Have they been engineered? Roy
Note the caliper will sit 28mm out more towards the rim. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No they wont 324 - 296mm is 28mm sure. But thats the difference in daimeter. You only offset the caliper to suit the radius. So only moves them out 14mm. And since you are only moving them out 14mm, you cant use the same centre holes so need bracket like yours which will also roll the caliper around further so that it can be bolted back in place. So the caliper will now be mounted closer to the 9 o'clock position, where as std they are more up around the 10 o'clock position of the rotor. Thats what u told me when i asked u ages ago about offset as i have very little clearance between rim and caliper at the moment!!! If it will only sit 14mm out then they should be sweet with my current rims Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/86646-fabrication-bracket-to-fit-r34-gt-t-caliper-to/#findComment-1580161 Share on other sites
ed
So the Rotor's hat height difference between the GTST's and GTR doesn't matter with this bracket? kwazza11
not to hijack the thread or anything but while we're on the topic of caliper offsets, anyone know what the thickness of the outer side of the caliper is? ie from outer disc face to outer caliper face? need to know wether my rims will hit when i put mine on! back on topic!
