Japanese Battery Status

I have a self-contained battery but it seems to be playing up. It has condition indicators on it (an eye glass which shows up a colour)

Since i can't read Japanese, i can't tell what the colour means.

There are three colours which the eye glass can appear: GREEN, WHITE, BLACK.

Can anyone tell me what these 3 mean?

Condition indicators are a pretty poor way to tell a batttery's true condition.

Since its unservicablem check the charging system is working fine - if so then proceed to do a load test and that will tell you what is going on. Make sure your doing the tests with a fully charged battery (leave it on the charger overnight)

Green = Good (>50% charge)

White = Add Water

Black = Bad (<50% full)

Colour indictors are pretty universal amoungst all batteries.
