Power Fc

i've had my power fc tuned for my r33 and its been working fine. until yesterday when i had another tune everything was fine. the tuner took it for a drive around the block and parked it. when i went to start it the car wouldnt start. found out the fc had reset for sum reason.. any one heard of this b4???????

on the same not i just got mine tuned and it resets to the base map everytime i start it up, but on another car it didnt do this?

i've had the same ecu tuned on my car 4times but this was the only time it happened. unsure wat to do cas a tune costs money but wasted if it keeps resetting.

I have heard of this happening before but forgot what the outcome was...

The pfc uses a perment storage setup so if it looses power it wont forget the settings.... But yeah not sure myself and have not had a pfc reset on me before....

Older PowerFCs do this. I believe the settings are stored and saved but a small battery is used to keep state much like a PC uses a battery on the motherboard to keep the BIOS settings.

I could be wrong, but this is what seems likely to me. Open up the powerFC the battery is probably replaceable.

thanks i will try this. yeah my fc is quite old the reason i know is the newer hand controller doesnt work on it
