ive been having issues with the 4wd in my r32 gtr for a while now and was wondering if anyone has hads similar problems and how they fixed it. most of the time its fine but some times when i start it up the 4wd and the anti-lock lights r on and the car will be in rwd, if i turn the car off stright away without moving and the start it again its still in rwd but ive found that if i move foward a meter or so turn the car off then back on again and every thing is fine. I cant be the only person this has happened to and its really getting annoying so can someone please give me some advice, any help is very much appreciated.

I have had similar occasional problems with my GTS4, but I don't recall exactly what the cause was or how I fixed it (other than persistance until it didn't do it!).

I would first check the fluid in the ATTESA reservoir (in the boot, RH, behind panel). Make sure its between the 2 marks, with Ign ON.

The ATESSA resovoir is in the boot on the right, check the fluid is OK in there. You might also need to bleed the fluid.

Whenever the ATESSA warning light is on the ATESSA computer under the rear parcel shelf will be flashing a code on its LED. Check the workshop manual for what the codes mean

When you can, check the underside of your car on the left hand side of your diff and look for a sensor that picks up the teeth on the driveshaft. Check the connectors, wiring and the gap between the sensor pickup and teeth.
