Help! Boost Line Split

Hey guys just wondering if someone can help me out....i fitted a boost gauge to the car and used the original hose going from the black box to the front of the inlet manifold. i had to buy a new t-piece coz the supplied one was to big. i t-pieced into this and it was fine...after a little bit i noticed the gauge not reading quite right and had a look...turns out the original hose has split. i cut it down and put it back on and it's split again...not sure if it's old or wats going on.

but wat i need to know if where can i get a new hose to use...wat hose should i get?

i was thinking clark rubber? and wat wud i ask for...size, type etc.

It's just a matter of getting a new bit of vacuum hose from repco/autobarn/supercheap or where ever else sells the stuff.

The hoses tend to get a bit brittle over time and once disturbed they will split at the end. Mine did a similar thing a couple of years back with the stock 3mm hose that runs between the plenum and the map sensor.

is it ok to have a 4mm t-piece with a 3mm hose or will it always crack?

If the hose is nnew it shouldn't crack. Try dipping the end into some boiling water to expand it abit then fit the t-peice end and let it shrink back. 1mm difference won't do much I think.

yeah it's the old one cracking...looks like it's off to clark rubber or one of the places BHDave mentioned to get some new rubber hose.
