Hey guys the wires going into the plug connecting my AFM to the car is being very dodgy. For instance the car will surge forward lose all power then surge forward again and also just completely cut out, not electrically just the engine "stalls" as such.

I know the problem is at the wires going into the AFM plug cos if u get out and jiggle the wires the surging or stalling is temp fixed until it does it again.

So does anyone know how to properly re-set the wires in the clip or had any experience with the same problem. I caled Nissan and it's just $3000 odd for an entire engine wiring loom, they dont sel seperate plugs which doesn't help.

Any comments welcome on the topic, (Car isn't really drivable at the moment cos i get too annoyed having to pop my bonnet all the time to "jiggle" the wires) Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Rhys

Come on guys, cant be that uncommon. i'm thinking of just bypassing the clip, afterall it's just there so you can take out the AFM and air box "readily". But talk up if you know how to set wires, i'm quite sure i need a special tool. But i'm after info on anyone doing it another way with more regular equipment.

Cheers,

Rhys

I had the same problem on mine; but it wasn't the plug (the AFM itself had dodgy

internal connections). The plugs are internally very simple and it's highly unlikely

that the plug itself is faulty, but I was hoping against hope (as I suspect you are)

You can get secondhand offcut plugs from SSS Automotive in Girraween (they are _very_ nice folks, they let me search around in a box of offcuts till I found two replacement plugs and they didn't want to take any money for them :D.

They might even have a matching AFM if it proves not to be the plug after all...

Saliya
