Hissing In Cabin When Boosting

Hi.. when I boost up I hear a fairly loud hiss that I just got informed was a boost leak. It's a strong hissing and has been present since my alarm was fitted (frown). I would guess a line coming into the dash has been damaged? How hard are these things to find? what recommendations do people have regarding this problem? I was told there are a lot of these lines which can leak and it takes a lot of line to replace them all.

If it's inside the cabin, then it will be the hose for an aftermarket mechanical boost guage or boost controller. Maybe even the turbo timer if it has a boost guage function. Shouldn't be too hard to find once you know what's not working since the alarm was installed.

had a look and it seems there is a white plug which mounts to the boost controller (i'm really new to turbos so bare with me ). The back of the plug seems to be very loose and you can see a sort of rubber seal in there. The rest of the hose to the boost controller seemed totally fine (and quickly went away from where the alarm was fitted). Is there some easy way to check it is this? or is it a case of suck it and see? I should try and get a photo of it.

what boost controller is it?

does it leak at idle too? should be sucking are through that hole too at idle.

no not audible when idle, can only hear it as soon as i hit boost and when I back off from high RPM (big negative pressure).

found it.. it was a joiner.. tapped it and it started hissing on idle.. problem went away with some electrical tape. Now I need to buy a new joiner.
