I could never do that with my Skyline. The problem is I am brilliant at disassembling things, but when it comes to the reassembling, not so good. My car would be dismatled into components within 15 minutes but it would never again be a car.

Good luck to you though! It's definitely a do-able proposition. A mate of mine built himself a Nissan One-Via from parts and that was a pretty awesome car. He stripped out all the sound deadening etc. while he was at it so it was loud as hell but very light. And 270rwhp meant it was damn quick.

well the main plan was to paint it up to make it all look good, but i found a heap of surface rust on the drivers side caused by a leaking battery at some of time.

So I figured i might as well pull the lot out and do it properly, fully cleaned, rust proofed, and painted mint.
