Hi Guys,

I recently put a X-force turbo back exhaust system on my R33 GTS-t but it seems to be coming loose from the turbo.

The front pipe and dump is one peice so there isnt much flexibility.

I have had it seeled twice now and just same thing keeps happening.

Has anyone else got this same problem with the Xforce or other brand system?

Best way to resolve issue?

Thanks

Stel

ive also got a 2 in 1 piece dump/front pipe but have never encountered this problem before (installed for 2yrs now). you are saying that it leaks at the gaskets where the turbo to dump connection, right? if this is the case are you sure that all your bolts are done up correctly and tightly and also im assuming you have a gasket. make sure it isnt cracked because your actions of sealing it could mean just that. another extreme possibility is that the surface in which you turbo and dump connects is not flat, have you checked that (highly doubtful that this is the case though)

Basically what is happening is...because the parts are slightly moving...it comes loose from the turbo.

The first time it happened i replaced the gasket, and resealed it...

it doesnt leak for about 2 - 4 weeks, then starts getting worse and worse...

That still doesn't quite clear it up. If nuts are coming loose and allowing the turbo to seperate from the dump that's quite different to just blowing the gasket. If its the nuts, are you torquing them to spec? If its the gasket the keeps blowing, its more likely you need the surfaces machined.

You are certain that it is the xforce exhaust.

All flanges these days are lazer cut.

Are you sure that it's not an exh manifold stud or 2 broken.I ask because i had that problem and so have many others with gts-t's.

The only fix for that was an easy out drill bit and new exh mani studs.
