R32 Gtr Speedo Differences

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for an aftermarket speedo that reads above 180km/h for my GTR. Mr Zac (Slidewize Imports) mentioned that there are differences in the speedos between the early (pre August 91?) and late R32 GTRs.

Can anyone confirm these differences? Just worried if I buy one meant for a late model it won't work on my Jan 90 GTR.

If I buy the speedo only and not the whole instrument cluster, will I need anything else for it to work properly? ie. different cables or anything like that?

Yeah there was a "series 2" style dash released in August 91 onwards, uses different coloured backlight in the dash (orange v blue/white). Anyway, series 1 and 2 dashes are interchangeable. I think the only other major change at the time was from push to pull type clutch

OK sweet, that means I don't have to worry about working out what year the speedos for sale are.

The push/pull change didnt happen till late 1993
