Squeeling Front Brakes....?

Hey,

My R33's brakes squeal almost every time i pull up. Not just screech, but really squeal, enough to turn heads.

Anyone know what the problem might be???

had the same in my tx5 mate....its ear piercing isnt it...and happens most at like under 20km, so basically when coming to a complete stop....

my mechanic said they were dusty, so he cleaned the rotors etc....but it still does it a bit....get your brakes checked out...might need new pads, machined rotors etc

its weird though, it only started happening after i got new pads on and discs machined so its a bit of a mystery??

Wrong compound? What type of pads you got?

Did the brakes get bled properly when the pads were changed?

yeah i was told that if i have the wrong pads in there they'd cause the squeaking as well...

Yeah, my old cressida had bendix 4wd compound pads (couldn't get ultimates, the 4wd compound is apparently very similar anyway).. But yeah, they used to squeak and groan a fair bit actually. And yes, the discs were machined when i installed those pads too.

Not sure if the brakes were bled, but i trust my mechanic would do wat needs to be done.

What are the best pads for the r33's???
