Rb20 Gts4 Manual Trans Reinforcing Brackets

I'm doing an RB30 -> RB20 conversion, and the RB20 is from a GTS4 (it's already been welded up to suit my R31). I tried fitting the metal brackets that link the bottom of the trans with the bottom of the block, but they don't fit. I have a suspicion that maybe the GTS4 sump doesn't require them, because it sort of bulges out towards the transmission anyway? Can anyone confirm this?

Not exactly sure what you mean, but the blocks on GTS4s are certainly different to (and not interchangeable with) GTSt blocks in terms of the sump flange.
