bazr33
i got a 3" highflow cat put in also got my end muffler replaced with a new one and taken out the second muffler, and i have that smell aswell, occasionally its not all the time but it does stink pretty bad , and i always thought it was the fuel but must be the highflow and fuel . But anyway wouldnt worry about it, just buy some air fresheners Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/87350-wierd-smell-in-my-car/#findComment-1577071 Share on other sites

duquer33
check that there isn't anything wrong with your battery, as this can also produce a rotten egg smell. I had that smell when i first bought my car, and they originally suspected that it was my cat!!! someonestolecc
I've heard around the place that optimax has a high sulphur content so that may be it. The cat, as others have said is also suspect. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/87350-wierd-smell-in-my-car/#findComment-1577226 Share on other sites

Scooby
have a look at your lower gearstick boot. they usually all split after a time and when mine did i'd occasionally get a putrid smell in the cabin. glued it up with some inner tube and it went away. was truly foul though.
