Clutch Choice

I know it's been done before but after many searches i need some help.

I have an r33 gtst and need a clutch. I have some kind of heavy duty push button at the moment but is starting to slip.

Can you tell me what to search for ????

I couldn't find much. I have been looking at an " Extreme Xtra Heavy duty Ceramic Button Clutch " from www.horsepowerinabox.com

Any help would be great.

I'm using a xtreme clutch with my sr20. I'd buy one again.

what sort of clutch did you get? I'm not sure if i should get a single or twin??

what kw are you running?? ihave 200kwatw and drive fairly hard.

any recomendations?

I've heard that nowadays single plate clutches (well decent ones anyway) are pretty much up to most punishments. I just bought cheap exedy one from gb section....haven't seen it yet or had it fitted so not sure, but reckon its good enough for 240rwkw. We'll soon see.

Heard lots of good things about Xtreme clutches too and also Jim Berry Clutches.

mate got an os giken clutch for his 32 gtr.. i drove it and i really like it. it's a twin plate, and cost him around $2k.

it's not heavy on the foot, grips well, and apparently is very abusable..

worth checking it out imo

A twin plate like an os gikken would be good for it and it would be up to the punisment of clutch dumps, drags, high hp etc.

Got an os gikken tripple plate in the 32 and it drives like a twin, pretty smooth in traffic for what it is too.

Twin plate? Unless its a highly modified GTS-t your better of spending the money on something else IMHO. Don't underestimate the power of the single-plate once touched by the hand of Jim Berry

200rwkw isn't huge, any heavy duty clutch should be fine, go to a local clutch builder and get them to rebuild yours for a few hundred.

Jim berrys clutchs are great, but probably overkill for your power.

I agree, but they are still a damn sight cheaper than the twin plate others were suggesting.
