Hey guys, ive decided to go for an r32gtr, and im mostly concerned about the handling characteristics of these cars.

Im hoping to get a stock gtr, maybe slightly tuned, then mod-heavy suspension on it, needing guidance on where to start....Ive heard the atessa system are interchangeable between the gtr models, and some say the 34 atessa upgrade is well worth it....?

Im not really going for alot of power with the gtr, as a stock car with exhaust/pod....will give me more than enough before i start to get serious, and i definitely want to go more track than drag:)

So speaking from experience, how do these r32 gtr's handle from factory???, and where can i improve in this department....these too have hicas,is that a big issue with the gtr's as it is with the gts-ts (like my r33:)

I'm not sure what you mean by grip driving, but GTRs can handle a track OK, they have raced a bit. And there is a good arguament that the 32 it the best of the lot being the lightest.

To get a GTR to handle you need:

Some nice shocks and springs, check out SydneyKid's group buy

Adjustable sway bars

New bushes, adjustable (they will be pretty worn out by now)

HICAS removal bar

Decent wheel alignment

ATESSA controller, it is too rear biased in the 32. 34 system is very hard to fit, the controller will give you everything you need

Good tyres (R Type).

Do all that and you will be ready for 1.10s at Wakefield or 1.20 at Oran Park GP :(
