hate to sound dumb but wat is a neo ? and wat is a RB25dets ??? wtf is 's' for lol ?

What does 'Neo' mean? Well, the Neo part is another of Nissans gems in the form of names for engines, along the same lines as 'PLASMA' and Toyota's 'BEAMS'...

Neo = Nissan Ecology Oriented

VVL = Variable Valve Lift (and timing)

What the f*ck is 's' for? Aaaah, the 's' in RB25DETs is used to signify a plural... :P

The price difference between the two I believe is too great to favour buying a NEO RB25. The fact that it is newer, yes is better. But most people are mislead by the power difference between the two. In a sense a R33 tuned via a power fc and a R34 tuned by a power fc will produce almost identical power figures.

A guy i know just sold his 32 gts-t and that had a rb25neo conversion with a t04 turbo, etc. He was impressed by power and torque and how he had difficulty getting grip!! Got something like 220kw atw with a cracked piston he did not know about. so he sold it. ALWAYS do a compression test before you go buying a car especially if it's turboed and modified. Could save you money and heartache down the track.
