Problem Starting Up Rb20

Hey guys, I just put an RB20DET into my s13 and it's been running perfectly for about 2 weeks. Just a few days ago it started behaving a bit bad. When I'd go to turn it on I would have to hold the key for ages before it would turn on. When it would turn on the revs got to 300-400 and it feels like it's about to stall. I have to give the throtle a bit before it would idle at 800rpm. Today it took me 4 tries to get it going. It would start then immediately turn off. What could be the cause of this? I'm thinknig spark plugs, injectors or fuel pump. It was serviced when I had it put in too.

did you do the conversion yourself? or did you get a mechanic to do it.

take it back to the shop....

I got a reputable workshop to do the work. I didn't touch anything since I got it back.

my rb20 has done that since the day i bought my R32gtst about 2.5 years ago

sometines its fine, sometimes its bad. its worse when the engine is warm i find..

i have tried replacing almost everything in the engine bay (except for the engine) with no luck

mine does it only when cold......

dosent bother me i just let it sort itself out

starter motor may require reconditioning.

worn brushes / dirty commutator in starter will cause more problems when it's warmed up generally
