Hehe... true, but I think that particular Viper's V10 engine (which has a rather nice turbo running at 15PSI + NOS!!!) would pretty much leave the ol' 'line behind. :uh-huh:

The 1000HP dyno-sheet is also rather impressive...

I don't think you can compare his car to a standard or even mildly worked Skyline but one with the same amount spent on mods would wipe him.

there was a viper getting around here last sunday. nismorick wanted to have a go against it in his gtr butja the old dude wasn't into that kind of stuff. would have been good to see if they did have a go ..... $50,000 vs. $200,000 .... just to see if they are worth the money... personally I'd take a skyline, I'm not fond of anything thats got more cylinders than neccessary ....

I dont know exactly, i assumed theyd be around the 200 k mark Even so if i was buying a car that much i would be a multi millionaire to even consider it so the extra 200 or 300 k wouldnt bother me at all!

Having spent a day driving a 99 RT/10 Viper I can assure you all they are bloody wicked!!! Can you say TORQUE! Mind you with 8.0L’s you'd expect that. The Viper I drove accelerated as hard in 4th @ 60km/h as it did in 2nd. Somebody mentioned understeer!? Try oversteer, mostly power oversteer. The stock 315's aren't hard to break loose with 8.0L's of torque.

The built quality isn't the greatest, certainly not to Japanese standards, but it's not too bad.

Some Viper owners in the US have managed high 11's for the 1/4 stock! Not many complete standard factory cars can do that.

As for this beast, take a look @ the terminal speed on its "shake down" pass - 152mph!!! 10.11 1/4 with 152mph TS….. I'm guessing the 60ft time on that pass was very poor! Probably run on road tyres?
