Wastegate Pipe Will It Pop Flames

hey,

Im just wondering will a screamer pipe off a wastegate pop flames, as i have seen a few for sale which have small pipes which will stay under the car and if its poping flames under there it cant be good.

well i know my car pops a few flames out the exhaust.. so it might do cause is part of the exhaust??

Mumbo, i get flames also from my exhaust, which makes me worry that if the wastegate pipe is just sitting near the joint from the dump to the front pipe that if it pops flames it could damage something under the car

p.s the wastegate pipe isnt connect into the exhuast system

what turbo are you running this screamer pipe off ?

It'd say it more than likely wouldnt.

Reason being when you come off throttle that's generally where the flame is coming from.

And at the point the gate is obvsiously shut.

I never shot a flame, hear pops etc.

If the screamer pipe itself isnt long enough however the hot exhaust can do some burning

Mine smelt a tad bad for a couple days till it burnt of whatever was down there because it was reasonably close to the body
