hey - I wrote the 180 off tonight. NOT MY FAULT! I was trapped in the car - my feet were jammed in cause the engine was sitting on them. Snapped the drivers side wheel off. Got a nice gash in my neck - should look wicked for the wedding! :D

Happenned on fremantly brd /albany hwy intersection.

I haven't stopped crying for like 3 hours

MY GOD !!

Is this a sick joke.

What are you doing here when you have just had a trauma like that ?

Cheers

All the people at the Gosnells pub said I was up on two wheel and they were all congratulating me on my driving hahaha... well its not really funny. A car turned right - across in front my me (like a t-bone type thing) I launched off his bonnet when on two wheels, went through 4 traffic poles then hit the last one and landed on the side. Then the car fell down. I was just screaming to get me out of the car.. I thought I would be stuck there forever hahaha

Ahh shit !

That is real bad news.

Big *hug * from me and glad to hear your sort of alright.

We don't need to lose any spunky SAU female members .:D

That will make for an interesting wedding speech

Cheers

    • Long time no see, I haven't posted since 14 years ago... To cut to the chase, R32 GTR. dead stock. Split wastegate hose = stock turbos were overboosting = front turbo's exhaust wheel has shattered. Have done a compression test following this and the results are (dry, cold) - 120 / 60 / 75 / 110 / 150 / 150. Haven't bothered with a wet test or leakdown test. The results definitely support front turbo failure (on 1-3) however the low compression on #4 is concerning too. Can anyone share their experience of when their turbine wheel shattered and damaged their motor - and what work needed to be done afterwards? Pistons? Rings? Valves? Throwing in the bin or salvageable? Motor is 100% stock. Will be getting it looked at further soon - I don't have a borescope and head hasn't come off (yet).
    • Depends how low and tyre size. Should fit with natural camber, skinny tyres and rolled guards.
    • Hi guys, planning to get 18x9 +25 in fronts and 18x10 +25 in rears been reading the whole thread and cant really find anything   Anyone know if these will fit a r34 gtt with no scrubbing or guard work needed?
    • They usually get made by hand as part of any such swap.
    • Was planning on getting an R35 MAF and the adapter, should this be okay? Also any idea where I could get my hands on an intake pipe?
