But this is a problem that was there when the shockies went - so i thought get shockies, get alignment, get balance and it will solve the problem but it hasnt. So its not a new thing that has just happened recently since balance and alignment its been something thats been around for about 2 months :)

Ken,

It's pretty hard to phuck up a balance, even I can use a balancer machine:D

See'ya:burnout:

Actually on mags it's quite easy to stuff it up.

They could have put the weights on without cleaning and this causes em to fly off.

As most shops dont use knock on weights , then positioning on the inner rim is critical.

Would you like a small wager that I can change the problem by swapping fronts to rears ?

That's as long as Niz hasn't left any important details out?

Cheers

Details like that!

Has this been doing it for a while ?

Does the steering wheel shake side to side or up and down ?

Cheers

Ken,

My mates own a tyre place, shouldn't be that hard for anyone who knows what there doing.

See'ya:burnout:

Paul I used to OWN a tyre shop and it is easy to get wrong if you don't know what your doing.

I am sure if I drove the car I could tell you in 5 mins where to start looking.

If you owned an Escort , you would know how critical w/bal is.

side to side - which i guess is definately wheel related then. just pisses me off cos it is quite violent when you hit the 120km mark - which i shouldnt be doing but oh well im nauti - and thats kinda when u need everything to behave at those speeds :)

It's not brake shudder. Your car hasn't been in a crash before has it?

See'ya:burnout:

you wouldn't normally ( but who says Niz is normal ) go from 80 to 110 kmh with your foot on the brake.:)

Yep , your learning . side to side is usually balance related , up and down is usually egged tyre/shockie related.
