Bambam,

Only minor increase really, in terms of top end power, but more substantial is the increase in mid-range. Most people are only doing exhaust cam gear as it means you can keep the variable cam timing. Use the stock cams.

cam...but u have the ITC right so u can set ure timing

but if i just boosted and tried to achieve 250 on stock cooler then wouldnt that create probs

so now that im getting my SAFC installed next week (after handing in 2 assingments!!!) then maybe boost

if i put cam gears will it make boost come on faster? coz now it sucks really lifeless under 3000 maybe coz the clutch is slightly fu(ked but seems to be holding ok so i dunno

Bambam,

The stock cooler is always going to give you more problems with pinging as it doesn't take much for the heat to soak in and increase the air temp.

Yes the cam gear can do, but cams have more impact on spoolup:D
