We did the usual 4deg retard and made significantly less power, Steve reckons it's the most he's seen out of a stock turbo anyway.

Nah, cam gears are good, but my turbo is maxed anyway, so no benfit till I do cams:(

I reckon you made no gains cos the ecu is outsmarting the changes you are making - you might find that more tuning would be required to get a performance increase from the gear.

It is unusual cos I don't know of anyone who hasn't gotten more power from a cam gear udgrade...

The ecu doesn't effect the exhaust cam gear, so I doubt it.

Swirlpot is where you feed the fuel from the tank, it ensures that there is always fuel available to the injectors and that no fuel starvation occurs.
