Yeah, took it a couple of weeks ago. She run a [email protected]. Not to bad for a fairly stock car. It has a stage 2 shift fit, 2500 high stall and 3.77 LSD diff. Motor is completely stock. We beat this wild sounding VS 5ltr ute!

I drive the wagon to work everyday ATM.

Bayley,

Yeah, sure have.. But just ask anyone here, I can't drive for shit (apparently)

I got 14.5 on an actual slip when i had 14.35ish RSM times...

my new RSM time of 13.99 i'm guesstimating should be around 14.1-2ish...

now i got an EBC and AFC added to the list, should be interesting to see what she does...

hey bam,

drove to work this morning, pisshing all the was.

It's not really that loud under normal driving - hardly louder than the factory one, but I did get to scare the shit out of some nobend who was driving his triumph at 20ks below the speed limit, talking on his mobile and drinking his coffee all at the same time.

he got all flustered and spilt the coffee on his mobile, YAY!

    • Yea my question was really relating to having a big stall converter and it's interaction with that. Why would BMW not just put a 5500 stall converter in there stock then? Then the OEM car could just launch control hard.
    • If you fully flushed and filled it's probably good for 5 years. I would not push it any further than that. Generally speaking coolant is more by time than by mileage. Rust wants to happen whether you're driving it 50,000 km or 80,000 km.
    • Modern transmissions like the 8HP lock up as low as ~12 km/h. And they will stay locked even with full throttle in gear. Far, far cry from the days of 3/4/5 speed automatics when they only locked up on overdrive gears and even then only if you didn't put too much torque through it. Manual transmissions are pointless unless you personally enjoy shifting gears.
    • I read on YouTube that the neo has 2 bleeder valves? Can't see anything in the manual though
    • The only other time I changed it is when I noticed it had become discoloured after a few track days (it was .. yellowish). So I drained and refilled the rad.  I think most people are in this situation. It's not like the car ran any cooler after I changed the coolant either. I'm gonna go with "If it makes you feel better, change it!"
