Been put back a day... I'm sure when I spoke to grant we tee'd it up for the exhaust place on wednesday, but he swears thursday now So its off to the exhaust place tomorrow for the dump+front pipe and maybe if I am lucky we'll have it back for thursday arvo/evening.

Paul saw the car today with the turbo installed but as I have no transport I cant really get there from work to have a looksee He said it looks good, shame he hasnt got a digi cam he could have taken some pics. I posted a thread in forced induction there is a picture there of the turbo with the wastegate attached prior to installing it.

Time for a quick chat.

Got back into Perth on the WE after 5 weeks holiday in Europe. Managed to pick up some ocntract work back there - so I'm back on the plane on Saturday for a 3 month stint!

Not a realy comfy assignment and will obviously miss my girls (wife and daughter) but looking forward to tax free fold (I can see a new pair of snails for the "R" being bolted on in November).

Hope to catch up for a cruise when I get back - and no more bloody offers to drive my car when I'm away!

yep i am sick too. I think I have a chest infection (not so good when im also asthmatic) but i dont have time to get to the docs. I cant wait untill my studdies are finished in november.. but ill have no life untill then!

I'm in the mining industry.

Studied Mineral Science at Murdoch too many years ago and now mainly work out of Perth consulting. Take the odd overseas job when the dosh is right.

$1500 drive in and out. I know the wastegate is around $600, so say $450ish for the exhaust to be made and put on, leaves around $450 for labour (removing old turbo, putting new turbo on, making braided oil line to suit, blocking water line, modifying intercooler/pod filter pipes to suit turbo)... *shrug* be something like that.

Fair enough sounds the goods. I wish I could get a job oversea's paid in US dollars or UK pounds tax free

Be careful what you wish for - one day you wake up and you realise that time has given the experience (read grey hair) to go and do it. You also realise that you're married, have kids and a huge mortgage.

Wish I was at Uni again (of course with my present salary!)

Oh also include in that $1500 modifying the exhaust housing to take the external wastegate and bolting it to the exhaust housing.
