nah i think the prob is the rubber stops havent been replaced - once i get those done and the wheels are aligned and balanced if that doesnt fix it i will look into what else can be done. I acknowledge that lowered cars are bouncy but its nothing like when i first got the car - if i can get it back to that standard a happy girl i will be ;)

mornin adrian..

the ITC we're talking about is the Apexi one.. the Apexi AFC does the same thing - looks way funky but I can't find anywhere to mount them for the flashy light effect.. hehe...

ride is gooooood ;)

is it pretty much standard - i aint hightening it anymore than a few mm's. The stops do make a difference - just where to get them from - i thought cred would of thought to replace them when they did my suspension!

I put mine in the glove box under my SAFC.... get brett to whack it there aswell perhaps? the further away frorm drunk peoples fingers the BETTER!!

niz my mate had them rubber stops in his subaru and they are prone to popping out, coz one of his did so one side of his car was lower then the other it looked wierd! i had a good laugh though! they called spring stoppers aren't they?

cool cool cam ITC sounds boss and i presume when you say AFC you talking bout the old skool 5 knob apexi one?

adrian ;)

yeah they are prone to breaking and wear n tear etc - but i swear they make a difference - well i guess i'll know for shore once i get new ones in to see if that fixes part of the problem. I think that may be the reason my cars front end has decided to sink a bit too ;) I could be way off the mark - but these are my theories.

yeah spring stoppers to help heaps! i was just mentioning how they do pop out maybe your front ones have popped out? if you have some in there already!

yall reckon i should ditch my apexi n1 front pipe and get a 3 inch dump/front made up or just get a dump made up and bolt onto front pipe?

adrian ;)

25GTT - I have a large fist that says "drunk ppl no play with stuff in car" ;)

Adrian - yea.. the old skool ones.. work ok.. the car came with them so they'll do till I decide to upgrade the whole computer..

Niz - pity c-red didn't think to do that, or tell u they may need to do that.. some things don't change maybe? found out mine are std coils and shocks.. my coils have been heated so have thought about changing them, wheels world quoted round $500 for a set of whitelines that would sit the car about 30mm lower.. but with the shocks being nearly 100,000km old i think i'll just hang out and get some cool coilovers.. :D

yeah i wouldve liked coilovers - out of price range tho.

I was actually told by another mechanic exactly what had to be done to my car in great detail - including replacing the stops and stuff. just annoys me these things dont picked up - i mean you've got the car there u might as well do this - makes you extra money while your at it. I shouldve asked but the thing is all the other suspension shops were going to do it as a package so i just thought cred were going to do it as well - cant complain about the price but i wouldve preferred to pay a bit more and get the whole lot done and outta the way. but anyway nbot everything goes to plan.

he was the one i talked to in the first place - its my fault i shouldve asked i know not everyones a mind reader but its just the suspension places did as part of package assumed he would too - its good when i worked in welshpool and it was close to drop my car in but now its too far away to keep going back and getting stuff done - prefer somewherein osb park.

Adrian - why not just get a dump pipe to suit the apexi one? be alot cheaper right?

coilovers are cool.. ;) adjustable stuff is fun... but yea - probably wouldn't waste the $$ on it...

Niz - maybe u should chase jash about it.. he's been pushing to get customers - this could be a good test?

    • Hey guys. I have a 400R on its way to Australia from Japan currently and have a few questions I’m hoping others may be able to help with.   Wondering if anyone here has had any luck getting the Sat nav unit to work in Australia!? Assuming the Stereo is as simple as a band expanded and tv won’t work?  Seeing as they’re based off a Q50 which is Aus delivered is there any way to link that system to the nav? Nav modules and head unit are different part numbers and appear slightly different at the rear with plug ins etc. can I put my xtrail sd card into the rv37 and will that convert the maps or update to Australian? Has anyone got any advice here?     also has anyone fitted the factory remote start and Security system once it’s landed in Australia? I put an enquirey to Nissan Japan in via a third party, and they suggested it needs a Nissan Japan dealers device to setup and couldn’t guarantee if one here could do it or not. They can supply and I can physically fit it but to setup I would need a dealers device. Any information here would be appreciated also. I’ve seen one here with it fitted already prior to leaving Japan at a dealer/inporter, so clearly passes compliance and works when fitted Japan and doesn’t need changing here.      also, does the tyre inflation sensors work here? Does anything change with them when the vehicle arrives? Where are they actually situated? I’ve read they have batteries and they need to changing at times and seems like resetting involves the nav system?    any help here would be appreciated and any other aust specific information to help would be great. Looking forward to see what the current generation skyline is like and eager to see how many of the gadgets can be utilised here.  Thanks in advance
    • Do need to take it with a pinch of salt. One of the adapter failures, they clearly had setup issues with the flywheel.  One of the slipping ones I spoke to and it was pretty clear the throwout was riding, rather than fix, just swapped to a new clutch.    These clutches are being put in anything from 5k offroad 4x4 beaters, GR yaris, 500hp commodores to 1200hp barra monsters. Bound to be some issues in some of them when they are not a simple bolt in affair due to the changes in height.    There is a lot going on in this picture and unless I did the job myself no way to tell what really happened.
    • I did this mod in 2019  You just have to modify the top bracket of the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU so it sits more upright and closer to the back seat and run a good quality positive battery lead from the engine bay, the negative lead i just bolted down to the body in the boot.
    • Damn... Not the feedback I want to hear.
    • Twas your car many moons ago that gave me the idea!
