Check the R32 Engine manual for max and min values as it should be in there. As for checking timing it doesn't matter whether you have the TPS connected or not.

What are you using to check the TPS voltage? A multimeter? Also you do know that to check the timing you generally have to get your hands an ignition lead which is a bit difficult on a coil on plug ignition system. I use a CONSULT diagnostic tool which allows me to check many of the readings that the ecu shows. If you lived in Perth I could show you....

checking tps with consult, also regarding tps being connected, yes it does matter, have you watched the timing change when you disconnect it? get a timing gun and try it

could u put the original question back in ur post? not much point in there being a search function if answers found dont have corresponding questions, the forums arent all about helping people all individually (etc)
