Help Me Please!

I know this is a big ask but i have an urgent query.

Last thursday night i was pulled over in my relatively stock gtr. was defected for parkers being blue, (they're led white) and my front pipes being too low. i thought they were stock but under closer inspection, i found that they are indeed aftermarket. they are only about 10mm too low. the bloody cop only gave me 6 days to clear a major defect. (ahhhhhhhhh bastard, i thought that they had to have 3 things before it was a major.) the simplest method of rectifying this problem i could think of was if someone was kind enuf and had them to spare for a couple of days while i get the defect cleared change my stock 16in gtr rims for a set of 17in or preferably 18in, (to be sure) rims with a larger rolling diameter to bring the height of the car up. like i said. it's a big ask but i have run out of options. i am most willing to leave my gtr rims as calateral. preferably eastern suburbs. can anyone help me please?????

didn't you just get the car on the road?

I would just sack the ricey parkers, and sort out ride height... no hassles in the future!

was the height of the pipes measured on a definate flat peice of ground or curved road?

he did get u for 3 things... left and right bulbs and ur height

gay but thats how it works.

just go get a RWC again or if ur last ones still current take that to vic roads to clear it lol

well the front pipes are still too low so i need a solution? any ideas

get new front pipes? u can get flat bottomed ones now for just such an issue

kind of don't got any atm. i need to get a close look at them so i can see what brand they are

you'd be welcome to swap my 18" rims off my gts-t to get it cleared as im on my L's and the car just sits in the driveway anyways... but i dont think the offset would be right to fit a gtr

I wouldnt put the spacers on if you are going to get a defect cleared - arent they defectable?

Also, going from 17s to 18s probably wont increase ur ride height. Maybe borrow some stock dump pipes for the test?

plan change.. im free almost all friday, so let me know what you wanna do.. by the way, I have only 2 spaces, so it might not actually be that helpful... but how old is the roadworthy you got for getting your car regoed in the first place? as inark mentioned, you can probably just use the same certificate and have your car fixed up without seeing another roadworthy place at all?

rylan... my wheels fit fine on the back... its just we need the extra 3mm clearance form the brakes on the front...

if your jsut going to get a height defect cleared... doubt they are gonna look at the wheels and notice the spacers on the front

if they ask how you overcame the height problem... just tell them you got a new dump.. they arent gonna know what wheels you had on when the cops pulled you over.. so i wouldnt draw un nessasary attension to the wheels or it may lead to them noticing the spacers
