Hey ppls.

Well, I'm looking for somebody to Sand and Polish about 65 square meters of floorboards in my house. Almost black stain, and matt finish.

So, does anybody here do it?

Should we start a register of what people do?

I'd been in government for 4 years, so if anyone needed their photocopier jammed, newspaper read or internet surfed... i'm more than willing to pitch in! B)

Now I'm at a place that does office design & furniture fitout, but they charge like raging bulls for everything, so not sure if that helps. :O

If anyone wants to build a hydro electric power station let me know.

10% SAU discount will apply  :P

No but at the end of next year I'll be applying for a job (first year mech eng graduate) so make sure you keep telling the HR manager that skyline drivers make the best employees... :D

Work for a transport company so should be able to ship some things around the eastern seaboard provided they can be picked up from our depots. Although as we are a chilled foods distribution company, it is not an overly cheap way of doing it compared to TNT etc. Hang on, pointless paragraph!

I run Australian Electrics and Entertainment which is kind of a one stop shop for digital bits and pieces and IT hardware and software. Also home entertainment products like TV's etc. Cameras and accessories etc. If I can help an SAU member I am more than happy to.

aee.com.au is the site which is a work in progress so PM or email me is the safest bet at this stage to ensure I get it.

Good idea for a thread as well Bass.

INASNT

I'll give you the hot tip.

If you are good at a 3D Solid Modelling package, ACAD 3D, Solid Edge, Solid Works etc. You will have a MUCH better chance of landing a job easily.

Cos as a first year grad, you will be drafting and stuff for about a year.

Box Hill Tafe do a course in Solid Edge which is quite good. They also do UniGraphics training.

Check it out.

I already have a mech engineer job that pays very well mate :P xRHETTx is the one after a job.

I have a friend that is an expert at catia 3d modeling and he just got a sweet job at boeing on a big pay packet. I just cant stand sitting in front of the computer drawing all day with those packages. I use alot of Autocad 2d for design work tho when I have to.

Yeah right, sorry. I meant xRHETTx

what does xRHETTx mean anyway?

Yeah, I used to draft in Autocad, and then model in Solid Edge

Now I sell the machines we make insted of designing them. I do very very little drawing now. I have somebody to do it for me!

lol, i shoulda been here earlier -

as an architectural draftsman i draw exclusively in 2d using Acad, also starting to use a bit of 3d Revit.

so if ya need some floor plans drawn up for your floor sanding (overkill?), i'm the guy ;)

it just so happens that my dad actually works for boeing as a catia operator, so it's possible he knows your mate INASNT. he reckons that there has been a bit of an increase in the number of skylines in the boeing carpark of late...

    • That's true. However, this problem has started since the tuning. First time with the return journey from the tuning. But yes, the pipe was clogged with dirt and rust. That was certainly due to age
    • Great info @tidi0x  Will definitely be handy for others and maybe me if I decide to keep the shit box H pattern.
    • Bumping this up one last time.... I wanted to follow up on the clutch slave issue. I realized that what the issue comes down to is the pocket is flat milled, and the cylinder does not want rest flat. So in order to mount it correctly you will need to make a spacer for the fingers so the cylinder is floating. I took two plates of aluminum, drilled some holes and was good. I did still need to make the relief cuts in the bell housing, as even with the spacer the bleed section still interferes. The OE bell housing the mounting holes are raised from the housing.
    • If the event in USA goes ahead will be interesting as it seems the rules will get more cars over here. Apparently the track is laguna seca too. Yeah s15, if I get a the lower dash trims, centre console and change front cross member to standard LCA position will fit clubsprint. See how rules are as i would rather do complete widebody than a bolt on flare to run the 295 with proper clearance.
    • If the car is legal height I can't see it being an issue. Found a thread on reddit that might offer some insight.   I got a ticket from a copper in QLD for my S15 being too low. They had this wheel thing on a stick that they put under the car and it hit my exhaust. Anyhow went to an exhaust shop to get the exhaust tucked up/hung a little higher and I wound the coilovers up a smidge. Don't think I even had to go back to the police station unlike when I got defected for having a carbon bonnet when I brought the S15 from the ACT to QLD and had to replace it and then rock up at a police station and have a yougish female officer who knew nothing about cars confirm that I had changed bonnets. Should have just painted the carbon bonnet yellow to match the rest of the car lol
