Recently my car started to idle with a vibration. the idle itself seems smooth, there is no missing or coughing, no loping. It is idling a bit lower than usual, but even if i raise the engine speed with my right foot, the vibration remains until about 900rpm. Its not really bad, enough to be felt through the steering wheel and to make the mirrors shake a bit. Sometimes it doesn't happen at all though! I've checked my plugs and leads, and fuel filter. A mate said maybe an engine mount is worn out - would there be any other symptoms if this was the case?

check the engine mount nuts.. and have a bit of a look to see if you can see the rubber split or sagging down there.

Both mine were less than finger tight on both sides (guess had come loose over the years). Car runs much smoother now that I've tightened them.

just to the front of the oil filter, you should be able to get a socket in there to tighten without too much drama.

The other side you will have to remove the rubber afm pipe to get to it, and its just behind the aircon compressor (this one is harder to get to).
