Funny you should mention this. I parked my 35 next to a new Magna in the petrol station this morning and the Magna looked downright dowdy and awkwardly styled next to the 35.People used the Magna to lean on while asking me questions.

I dont think you should comment re the looks until you see one in the metal as I wasn't sure about them either from photos.

I agree with you about swaping for a 33. I've owned 33 and 34 and let me tell you as far as drivability goes the 35 is generations ahead.

I still like the 33 and actually prefered it to my 34.

I was wondering if I'd made the right decision getting the 35 but after a month of driving it around I'm hooked :P

Re Performance mine has run 14.5 at the drags.(may get to low 14's when I learn the car more)

Last night at a track meet the 35 was amongst the 32GTR's for lap times stock as a rock and on cheapie compliance tyres. Surprised the hell out of me. Turbo's...who needs em :D

yep definitely best ride out of any non GTR line yet.

Have been driving my boss's CPV35 350GT coupe a bit lately, the torque and linear power of it is impressive.

He took it out to Willowbank last week and ran 4 passes at 14.2 and 1 pass at 14.1 TOTALLY STOCK!!!

breathing mods happen next month should see easy 13's

(p.s. don't worry about what some "band wagon jumping n00b says", I have owned three skylines and driven plenty more than that and until they have seen a CPV35 350Gt in the flesh and driven one, their opinion doesn't mean shit)

I'm picking mine up on friday. Here is a pic.

I would love to buy one. They look excellent in the flesh, the pictures certainly don't do them justice. A great combination of sport and luxury.

My only reservation at this point is that they will eventually turn into the rest of the import market. I'm not having a go at the import market, it's just that I can't own a car (in my line of work) where there is so much bad press and attitudes towards the cars. Also, I don't want a car where after 2 years the market is selling terrible examples at really low prices, as was the case after I bought my R33. I'm not trying to sound like a snob, it's just the way it is for me.

There's a fcuking hot blue coupe with volk GTC rims on it for sale on paramatta rd in sydney, and a couple of silver ones. Got me thinkin'.. might be time for an upgrade early next year..

I own the very blue coupe you speak of now ... bought it over a week ago and it's worth every penny.

The best motoring video about Skylines is pretty good, it compares all the versions, and the R35 Skyline was quicker on the track than the R32 GTR. That was really surprising, I didn't expect the R35 to be anywhere near the R32, even if the r35 had a better driver.

I saw a Black R35 Skyline sedan in Canberra the other day and it looked really good, with 18/19 inch rims - although the front looks a bit like a Maxima. It had the red/silver GT badge you see on the R32's etc on the boot/hatch.

They have come down a bit in price, Prestige have some for $26-28 K for 2002 models. So My next purchase will likely be a R35 350GT sedan or a R34 GT-Four sedan (around $18k), pity they aren't turbo but both really good cars for the price.

Its just a pity the R35 doesn't come here as they start at about 2,700,000 yen which is about $32000, upto $47 for the top of the line -awd. Maybe they'll bring in the 'lesser' models to cater for all the Skyline enthusiasts who can't afford the next GTR.

i was in surfers paradise about 2 months ago and i saw a v35 lowered as far as you could possibly lower a car, it wa white with a gtr sticker on the back, with a full body kit. mind you from the rear it looked quiet good, but the front was a different story.
