Flexible Aluminium Piping

does any one know of a manufacture or supplier of flexible aluminium piping approx 80-100mm ??

i have seen it on cars around, used as cold air intake...........smooth on the inside and out side

ive been searching but cant find any thing close to what im after

The only kind of pipe ive seen like what you describe,as far as i know is sold at hardware stores.

They have a smooth finish but still are rough only because of outside edge ditto on the inside but is still flexible.There is only one way in which the pipe can flex.And that is multiple joins.Which in turn give it that bumpy feel.

The stuff you're thinking of is crap and cheap... it is ducting for clothes dryers... this flog...

you want to go to a race store like revolution racegear and get some neoprene flexible tubing... it's expensive, but shits all over dryer ducting... you want this stuff

and since I'm feeling generous, I found you a link where you might be able to get it cheaper than a race shop... they charge like $80/m or something rediculous

ok just re-read your post... you're after the smooth stuff... the stuff above will be better... but only available in 10m lengths...

Go to a piping/plumbing/irrigation store and get the same size hose, but in rubber with a wire reinforcment. I got this and it only cost me $50 for 3 metres, but unless you're in townsville i cant give you a specific shop to look in.

That stuf is nowhere near what im thinking of.

I was thinking more allong the lines of full alluminium.

Im yet to see a piece of aluminium pipe that is flexible.

work out what you need and go get the bends done, the local exhaust shop/ engineering shop should be able to do it.

Yeah that stuff that i was talking about is avaliable.

The big ''but'' is that i dont realy know if it i sealed because of the way it is made it has to be able to be bent into position therefore the aluminium cant be properly sealed.

It would be allright for an induction pipe.

I kinda looks like the outside of the bendable part of a microphone stand.
