Hey mate; if you end up getting that wing off... can you do me a really big favour? Could you measure up all the holes for me (both boot lid and bottom of spoiler) as well as the diameter for the screw/s?

I'm planning a little DIY thing (making new spoiler stands for stock spoiler) so I need that information :D

Cheers mate!

EDIT:

Also, I'm going to link your site up tonight, cool? :)

Are you talking about the coupe wing?...cause i've taken that out and it was easy...Yeh..ill measure it up for you when i get around to it....lol im scared i might lose the nuts for the stand..cause it can fall inbetween the boot framme..which is a bitch to get out.Only way to get it out is to remove the whole boot :D

ill take some pics while im at it too

hahaha Thanks Satanic...

ill make a links page tooo...and of corse you be on the list :)

It's held on with that double sided foam and It's a nightmare to get off. It just needs lots of muscle power and patience. Have you popped the 2 white plastic lugs (1 per support leg) that fit between each legs set of bolts yet???

sorry to bring this up again. i need to remove my coupe spoiler.

so how do you pop the 2 white plastic lugs? do you pull it downwards?

could those who have succeeded taking their spoiler off shed some light?

cheers

haha, funny..I was just about to start a thread about removing my spoiler..on a sedan though...so E-lushun if you found out could you please enlighten us! I want to know if removing the factory spoiler leaves any permanent marks on ur bootlid??

Cheers :)

did you get my PM? i took mine off - fishing line is your friend :)

Yeah mine is a little different to your Nismo version. Im not worrying about the adhevise tape stuff yet. Those plastic lugs are the trouble, I could only get one finger through the hole so no way to pop them out. Dont want to pull the whole spoiler out and break the lugs either.

Hugely old thread, and I don't care - I can't find anything else on this topic for us R34 sedan owners.

I learn't a few things in my efforts tonight, which may help someone in future:

i) An R34 coupe wing is not a direct bolt-on to an R34 sedan - the rear bolt hole is in a slightly different location, but otherwise fits quite well

ii) The R34 sedan wings are a bitch to get off, with a tonne of double-sided tape, and some evil lugs at the back which you have to try and undo (which in my case snapped on one side because it just refused to come out)

On the positive side, I'm very happy with the results - slightly more aggressive without being stupidly big. I also still think it suits the lines of the car.
