Been having some troubles with my car in the last week or so - since the hot weather has started. Was at a carpark the other day and it stalled on me. Then Later in the day I was pulling up to a set of lights and it completely cut out, and again when I got home.

Firstly I thought I might have gotten a dud tank of fuel (always use BP Ultimate). The response from the engine on acceleration is very poor and it feels like it is down on power. I think the air/fuel mixtures are all over the place.

Yesterday I replaced the fuel filter and did engine diagnostics on the CPU and read 'code 12 - MAF Sensor Circuit' (air flow meter). So I think I am at the bottom of it now. Went for a drive last nite (cooler weather) and it didnt cut out like it did during the day.

I am going to fill up this avo so that will rule out the dodgey tank of fuel theory.

Does anyone know of any airflow meters for sale? Or anybody wish to meet up and swap AFM's to see if this is the problem before I go ahead and buy another one??

Cheers. Cal
