Just wondering if anyone with A/F meter and O2 gauge running RB25DET engine can confirm this.

I've just done a few maintenance with my car, ie, clean AFM and replace O2 sensor as fuel consumption of my car is really bad (20L/100km). Confirmed that the original O2 sensor is dead (rattles when shaking it) After replacing the O2 sensor, fuel consumption got worse to 25L/100Km. Reading in my A/F meter is over 20 when idle and around 17 - 19 when cruising and 14-16 when accelerating. 02 reading is between 0.01 to 0.02. (BTW, I have taken my A/F ratio and O2 readings from Apexi pen turbo timer). Obviously, from this reading the car appears to be running lean, however fuel consumption tells otherwise.

After closer inspection, realised that I the O2 sensor has been incorrectly wired. Correct the wiring, and the reading has changed to around 14-15 when idling, 13-14 when cruising and 10-13 when accelerating. O2 figure however is jumping from 0.2 to 1.5. These figures are pretty much the same as per before I changed the O2 sensor.

Can anyone confirm that this reading is normal?

Thanks

DD

I always thought 02 sensor was 0-1V

On my powerfc its reading around 12v I think. Maybe its sanother sensor somewhere.

I would take it to a mechanic and get a exhaust gas analysis. Probably better if you put it on a dyno and get them to diagnose the problem. One of your sensors is stuffed probably air flow meter but a mechanic could find it quickly.
