Pulsar Help

i know my car is'nt any special import or anything but am just asking for help.

i have an n13 pulsar at the moment and it's only 1.6,so i was just wondering if it's possible or dumb to put that plastic intake tube/piping(not sure what it's called)on the end of my intake to the front of the bumper cos there's not much i can do since it aint a box filter.

another thing i was wondering how much it would cost and what needs to be done to convert it to a manual due to it's a boring auto.
