use a small screwdriver to remove the 2 hose clamps, and remove. No real trick to it, you may find it easier to remove the filter from the braket to get to bottom hoseclamp

rememebr to wait for engine to cool down so you dont burn yourself on intake manifold

i just went to parts store and asked for one to fit my car.

though i might add, the stock one has a bend in one of the pipe's going into filter. the replacement they gave me, the line was straight. It worked fine, but i couldnt get the filter back in the braket

ps. check your other thread

If you go to autobarn or where ever you should be able to look the part number for a fuel filter up in the book.

The one without the bend in the pipe is for 300zx i think.

lol my names rhett 2... never met another 1..

Hey, your the 4th Rhett ive met. It took me until i was 18 to meet another person called Rhett.

What's the best way to do it without spilling fuel everywhere? As obviously when the filter is taken off the bottom clamp, and fuel in the lines is going to go everywhere? :)

I've got a spare fuel filter and have been meaning to swap it over for a while but have never gotten around to it.

Yank the fuel pump fuse and let the car die. Try and turn it over a couple of times and you will use up most of the remaing petrol. Have a rag to catch the rest.

I used Z 201 cost 11$ .It has straight top/out piping so You have to replaced fuel hose for longer one ,half meter 7.5 mm cost about 9 $.

Or You can use a Z 387 cost about 38$ same bended top pipe as genuine one.

Its not a problem to change I did two R 32 today .Take me few minutes .Pul out filter with smal hose from botom pipe ,than change filter out of tha car and put back filter with smal hose and top big hose already back on to botom pipe.

Fuel here is real shit so You need to replaced fuel filter at least every 10000 kms.

If You can not for same reason change fuel filter and have something to do in Brisbane ,come to my place I can changed for You.No problem.
