hiya

i recently had a missfire problem which i fixed by temporarily taping the coils and gapping the plugs to 0.7mm whilst i order some splitfire coils.

Anyways, the missfire has gone BUT i found another problem. 3rd and 4th gear seems to have trouble getting past 3000rpm. It is fine in 1st and 2nd. Also, if i let the foot off and on the pedal gently, the car seems to jerk a fair bit forward. The car is very "laggy".

I already resetted the ecu but this did not seem to noticably fix it.

I think that it might be a timing issue? To much retard in the timing?

Any advice would be great.

Cheers

Eric
